QLab 5.6 Release Notes
★ Stars denote major new features.
Fade cues and Network cues with 2D fade paths can now optionally be set to loop continuously.
Audio meters are now visible in the Audio Output Patch Editor, the Audio Map Editor, the Trim tab of cues with audio levels, and in the main level control in the Levels tab of cues with audio levels.
OSC commands /pathSmooth and /pathLoop and AppleScript properties path smooth and path loop to enable or disable path smoothing and looping in Fade cues targeting video geometry and in Network cues.
Double-clicking a .qlablight file (a saved light instrument definition) now prompts you to copy the definition into the frontmost workspace or your global light library. If a definition with the same name already exists in the chosen destination, you can choose to replace it or save the new one as a copy.
Paste Cue Properties now supports pasting fade path properties between Fade and Network cues.
The Video cue template now allows setting a default duration for still image Video cues.
MIDI byte text fields now default to a value of any
when they are left empty or given an invalid entry.
A Reveal in Finder
submenu for recent workspaces in the Launcher window. You can find this submenu by right-clicking (or control-clicking, or two-finger-clicking.)
Network Port In Use
warnings to alert of a network conflict with the workspace OSC and plain text listening ports.
Settings → Network → OSC Access now displays the status of listening ports and shows a button to retry binding a port after a network conflict.

The instrument definition for the Epson EB-PU2100 series and EB-PU2200 series has been renamed EB-PQ series and EB-PU series
to reflect the broader range of projectors with which it is compatible.
The cue list and active cues will no longer begin to flicker and disappear when run for long periods on certain older (2018-era) Intel Mac computers.
A rare issue that could cause a Mode tab to appear in the inspector when a cue list is selected.
A bug that could prevent reordering video output stages if one of the stages is missing its mask image file.
Setting a cue's file target from a collaboration client will no longer risk re-syncing all cue data.
A crash that would occur when sending more than four channels of audio on an NDI feed.
Live fade preview of object audio routing will now work correctly when using a collaboration remote.
Several bugs when using OSC or AppleScript to set the crossfade duration of a Playlist Group cue.
Fade cues targeting patches now show correct output labels.
A bug where the inputs
label of the audio levels matrix could sometimes be drawn in the wrong location.
VoiceOver accessibility has been restored to the audio levels matrix.
A bug that could cause audible artifacts when reordering audio effects.

A crash that could sometimes happen after changing an audio output's device away from no device selected.

A bug preventing setting the cursor past the end point in an audio cue waveform.
Bugs related to cue loading while changing the audition mode.
Bugs related to scaling the background image in a Network cue 2D fade path when the origin is not set to Center
or the stage size is 1 × 1. In particular, this fixes two issues when controlling En-Scene coordinate mapping with Network cues using the DS100 network device definition.
OSC string arguments sent to commands that expect numeric arguments now correctly interpret a comma as a decimal separator on machines set to a non-US locale. For example, sending /cue/1/preWait "1,5" to QLab running on a Mac set to a comma-decimal locale such as Colombia, Kyrgyzstan, or Zimbabwe now correctly sets the pre-wait to one and a half seconds, not 15 seconds.
A bug where custom OSC reply and event format messages containing numeric values could send string arguments instead of numeric arguments in non-US locales.
Light dashboard: Revert, undo, and redo now only apply to the parameters the user actually edited.
Light dashboard: On the primary machine, dashboard edits will no longer halt running light cues for non-edited parameters.
QLab Remote sessions over a direct USB connection (PeerTalk) now work when the sending Mac is set to a non-US locale.

A small error in the Holophonix network device definition.
A small error in the Yamaha DM7 network device definition related to scene recall
