Object audio in QLab: spatial sound made easy

Your favorite software just got more powerful.

Curious about the new object audio features in QLab? Here’s a preview of some of what’s new in QLab 5.5, with more resources below.

What the heck is object audio?

Create audio maps using Marks and Filters

Drop a Mark on your map and assign its cue outputs and levels. The closer that an object is to that mark, the more its levels match that mark. Filters let you draw boundaries around marks: objects on one side of a filter are only affected by marks on that same side.

Position sound using the powerful new object audio mixer

Easily and intuitively locate sound within a map of your space. You can also use the map more abstractly as a visual mixing environment.

Move your objects

Add objects to your maps or to cues, then use QLab’s powerful workflow tools and Fade cues to change them. Build complicated fades in seconds!
