Introduction

Welcome to QLab! QLab makes it simple to create rich multimedia designs for live performances and installations. QLab’s event-driven timelines are perfect for sound design, video projection design, or anything where you need to trigger media playback in a precise and flexible manner.

This documentation will give you a detailed introduction to the QLab application. We encourage you to contribute additional tutorials, hints and tips, and any other supplemental information you feel is useful to the QLab Wiki.

Requirements

QLab requires OS 10.4 or 10.5 to run.

The Video Cue requires a graphics card that supports Quartz Extreme and Core Image, and may require a recent CPU and a good graphics card to guarantee top performance. (For example, the Mac Mini graphics card will limit QLab’s maximum performance considerably.) When in doubt, try it out.
